RULES

1.) You may not enter the contest if you work for or provide sound design for Black Octopus Sound.

2.) Cash prize will be paid via Paypal. Winner must have an active paypal email address to claim prize. Valid email address required to claim the other prizes.

3.) No use of pirated software or sample packs permitted. You may use any other samples, presets, or VST fx and instruments that you have a legitimate copy of or have created yourself.

4.) Entries must not contain any copyright infringements.

5.) One entry per person.

6.) Entry must be submitted by Aug 31st 11:59 PM PST

7.) Contest rules are subject to change at any time.

FAQ

What if I already own Leviathan 1, 2, or the Basement Freaks sample packs?

We realize that many of you may already own the sample pack prizes, or even might want to use one of the sample packs to create your remix. We will substitute equal value of Black Octopus sample packs in the case of you already owning one of the sample pack prizes.

What if I already own the software prizes?

Unfortunately there are no substitutions or transfers for the Software prizes.

What genre should my remix be?

Any genre you like! Stay true to your own original sound.

What if I am having troubles downloading the remix stems, or submitting my entry?

Please e-mail support@blackoctopus-sound.com and we will help you out.

What will you be judging the remixes on?

We will be judging the remixes on a variety of qualities such as originality, musicality, mix, structure, and lasting appeal.

Is there any cost to enter the contest?

There is no cost to enter the contest. We will require you to sign up for our mailing list (which you can unsubscribe at any time), and to follow us on Social media.
